In accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as "GDPR") and national data protection regulations, we hereby inform you about the extent to which we process the data collected or received about you and your rights as a data subject. Because the security and protection of your data are of utmost importance to us, we always adhere to the applicable data protection regulations when processing your data.

3.1 Fulfillment of Contractual Obligations (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)

We generally assume that you are authorized to provide this data. We use your data and the data of third parties you provide to fulfill and execute the contract. The purposes of data processing are primarily determined by the specific contractual obligations and include:

  • Processing the booking of a ski instructor | ski guide | mountain guide, including payment management;

  • Making helicopter flight reservations with Wucher.

3.2 Fulfillment of Legal Obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR)
Legal obligations applicable to Alpincenter require the processing of your data for the following purposes:

  • Fulfillment of proper accounting tasks;

  • Archiving tax and corporate-related records for statutory payments (taxes and fees);

  • Compliance with tax and corporate retention obligations.

3.3 Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)
If you have given us separate consent for data processing, it is processed exclusively for the purposes specified in the consent declaration and to the extent agreed therein. Consent can be withdrawn at any time with future effect (e.g., you can revoke your consent for receiving our newsletter if you no longer wish to receive it). Data processed based on your consent includes:

  • Sending newsletters: You can subscribe to our newsletter via our website by providing your email address and consent. Consent can be revoked at any time by contacting info@alpincenter-lech.at.

3.4 Legitimate Interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)
We process your data to protect the legitimate interests of Alpincenter or third parties for the following purposes:

  • Information or comments posted on social media or review platforms about us may be displayed on our homepage.

4. Recipients of Your Data
Your personal data will be shared with the respective ski instructor | ski guide | mountain guide for booking purposes. The scope of shared data is limited to the necessary minimum. Data transfer is carried out using standard technological means, such as email or messaging services.

5. Data Retention
We collect and store your data when you submit a booking inquiry through our website, via email, or by phone. The data is saved in our server database, address database, digital calendar, internal systems, and mobile devices. Data from service partners to facilitate bookings is treated the same as directly provided data.

We also process your data in compliance with legal retention and documentation obligations (e.g., under the Austrian Commercial Code (UGB) and Federal Fiscal Code (BAO)). The statutory retention period is ten years, starting at the end of the calendar year. After fulfilling legal obligations, your data is deleted unless further retention is required for legal claims.

6. Your Data Protection Rights
You have the right to request information about the origin and categories of data processed about you, the storage period, the recipients to whom your personal data has been disclosed, and the purpose and nature of this processing. We note that under Section 4(6) of the Austrian Data Protection Act 2018, no information is provided if it would endanger trade or business secrets of us or third parties.

If the data processed about you is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to request its correction or completion. You may also request the deletion of data that has been unlawfully processed. However, this applies only to incorrect, incomplete, or unlawfully processed data. If it is unclear whether the data processed about you is incorrect, incomplete, or unlawfully processed, you can request a restriction on processing as an initial step. In this case, your data will not be deleted but will remain stored until the matter is resolved. Please note that these rights are complementary, meaning you can request either the correction or deletion of your data, but not both simultaneously.

Even if your data is accurate, complete, and lawfully processed, you have the right to object to the processing of your data in specific exceptional cases that you must justify. This right to object is governed by Article 21 of the GDPR, particularly in cases where the data is processed based on our legitimate interests. You can also object to direct marketing communications if you no longer wish to receive them.

Under certain circumstances (Article 20 GDPR), you may request that we provide the data processed about you in a machine-readable format or transfer it directly to a third party, provided this is technically feasible and does not require unreasonable effort, or conflict with legal obligations or confidentiality considerations.

If we process your data based on your consent, you can revoke that consent at any time, preventing further processing of your data for the purposes outlined in the consent. The legality of processing carried out before the revocation remains unaffected.

If you believe we are using your data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority.
